About Larry Stephen
Larry Stephen Hymes is an attorney admitted to the State Bar of California on December 21, 1977. He is currently associated with Ventura Coast Law LLP, having previously worked at Anker, Reed, Hymes, Schreiber & Cohen, A Law Corporation.
Hymes completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. He then attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1977. He furthered his legal education by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of San Diego at Los Angeles in 1980.
His practice areas include estate planning and probate, business law, real estate, and tax law. Hymes is experienced in drafting and administering living trusts, estate administration, and handling contested trusts and estates. He also deals with business formation, acquisitions, and commercial contracts, as well as real estate transactions and tax planning.
Throughout his career, Hymes has held various positions, including Company Counsel and Partner. He is admitted to practice before several courts, including the California State Courts, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Hymes has been recognized as a Super Lawyer from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2022 to 2026. He has also served on the Foundation Board of California State University Channel Islands for five years, demonstrating his commitment to community involvement.
