Lance Alan Cooper is the founding partner of The Cooper Firm, a prominent personal injury law firm located in Marietta, Georgia. With over 36 years of legal experience, he has developed a specialization in product liability cases, particularly those involving automobile design and manufacturing defects. Cooper earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1989, where he distinguished himself as a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar and served as an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. This educational background laid a strong foundation for his future legal career. Before establishing The Cooper Firm in 1998, Cooper was a partner at Cooper Jones & Cooper. During his tenure there, he represented plaintiffs in significant personal injury and wrongful death cases.
His experience in the courtroom is extensive; he has served as lead counsel in numerous civil jury trials against major corporations such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Toyota. His litigation efforts have led to multiple multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements, showcasing his effectiveness as an advocate for his clients. Cooper is admitted to practice law in both Georgia and California, which broadens his ability to represent clients across state lines. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of California.
