About Kristen E.

Kristen E. Prinz studied political theory and literature at the University of Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. She returned to Chicago to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology and received her J.D. in 2007. Those years shaped her approach to practice and gave her the legal foundation she still uses today.

She began building a legal career in the Chicago area soon after law school. Membership in professional organizations has been a steady part of that work. She joined the Chicago Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association in 2006. Later she expanded her civic and professional circle by joining the Economic Club of Chicago in 2012, the International Women’s Forum in 2013 and the Chicago Club in 2015.

Prinz moved from associate roles into private practice and ultimately established her own firm. She is the founder and managing partner of Prinz Law Office. The move into firm leadership brought administrative work alongside client representation. She oversees case strategy, client intake and the day-to-day operations of the office.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in the way she handles case preparation. She favors clear organization and careful document review. That approach shows up in how her practice is structured and how she prepares clients for negotiations or hearings. She is active in professional circles around Chicago and often meets peers through club and bar association events.

Her public memberships reflect an interest in both legal community engagement and broader civic life. The Economic Club and the Chicago Club connect her to business and civic leaders. The International Women’s Forum links her to a network of professional women across disciplines. She maintains long-standing ties to the legal bar through local and national associations.

Outside the office, she participates in continuing education and professional programming. That keeps her current on changes in law and procedure important to her clients. She balances those commitments with the demands of running a practice.

She currently runs a private practice at The Prinz Law Office, handling a range of legal matters for clients.
