About Kristen E
Kristen E Lonergan built her legal foundation at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she earned a B.A. in political science, sociology and environmental studies in 2007 and a J.D. in 2010. She stayed close to the state she practices in, sharpening practical skills early through summer and seasonal roles before moving into full-time legal work.
Her earliest legal experiences included a seasonal internship with the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office in 2002 and a seasonal administrative assistant position at Herrling Clark Law Office in 2005. Those roles gave her front-line exposure to court procedures and office practice. She then served as a law clerk at Gingras, Cates & Luebke in 2008, and transitioned to an associate role there after completing law school in 2010.
In 2011 she joined Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, S.C. as a lawyer. That position followed a steady progression through small firm environments and municipal work. In 2016 she became a partner at Crooks, Low & Connell, S.C., a move that marked a shift into firm leadership and expanded responsibility for client matters and case management.
Lonergan’s professional activity extends beyond case files. She has been active in the Marathon County legal community, serving as vice chair of the Marathon County Bar Association since 2017. She has held a seat on the board of the Marathon County Child Development Agency’s Head Start program since 2014 and has been on the board of Kids Voting USA of Marathon County/Wisconsin since 2012. Her involvement also includes membership in statewide professional groups, including the Wisconsin Association for Justice since 2010.
Colleagues describe her as methodical and engaged in community institutions. She has moved from summer intern to law firm partner in a little over a decade, a trajectory that reflects sustained practice in Wisconsin law. Her roles in local boards underline an interest in civic education and child development alongside her legal work.
Today she is based at Crooks, Low & Connell, S.C., where she serves as a partner. Her current practice is centered on representing clients in Wisconsin from that firm.
