About Kimberly Ann

Kimberly Ann Trueman earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2012. She studied Hispanic literature and language at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received her B.A. in 2009. Those academic years set the foundation for a practice that has remained centered in New York.

She is admitted to the bar in New York. Since completing law school she has built a career that moves fluidly between county-level practice and state bar activity. Her professional path reflects steady advancement through small firm settings into a counsel role.

Trueman began her legal work at Burner Law Group, P.C., where she served as a legal intern in 2012 and then as an associate lawyer that same year. Those early roles offered hands-on exposure to case management and client work typical of an emerging trusts and estates practitioner. Colleagues from that period describe a lawyer who learned the practical business of practicing law while handling a steady docket.

In 2021 she joined the Law Offices of Robin Burner Daleo, PLLC as counsel. That move placed her in a practice with an office presence in Hampton Bays. Her title reflects senior responsibility within the firm and regular engagement with probate and surrogate’s court matters common in Suffolk County practice.

Professional associations have formed a throughline in her career. She has been a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section since 2010 and joined the NYSBA Elder Law Section in 2012. On a local level she has served on the Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court Committee since 2013 and has been part of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association since 2015. Her membership in the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee dates to 2009.

Those affiliations signal ongoing participation in the substantive conversations that shape probate, estate planning and elder law in the region. They also suggest regular contact with surrogate’s court procedures and the community of lawyers who practice before it.

Her practice is organized around work in trusts and estates and elder law. She manages matters that arise in county surrogate’s courts and consults on planning and probate issues for individuals in the Long Island area. Her current practice focuses on trusts and estates and elder law matters.
