About Kim Keheley
Kim Keheley Frye has built a legal career rooted in courtroom work and criminal defense. She earned a B.A. in criminal justice from the University of Georgia in 1990 and received her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 1993. Those years set the stage for work on both trial dockets and appellate calendars.
Early in her career she served as an assistant district lawyer in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit in 1994. That post placed her in a regional courtroom environment, handling the kinds of matters that teach an attorney how cases unfold under pressure. In 2006 she moved to Cobb County and took a role as an assistant solicitor general, where she gained further experience in prosecutorial practice and courtroom advocacy.
In 2008 she assumed the role of principal managing lawyer at Frye Law Group, LLC. In that capacity she has overseen litigation strategy, managed client matters and supervised courtroom preparation. The title reflects long-term responsibility for a range of criminal matters and for the daily operation of a litigation practice.
Her professional memberships trace a steady involvement in criminal defense circles. She is a sustaining member and served as a vice president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She holds a life membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a charter member and board member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association since 2014. She is also a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, an affiliation that speaks to an emphasis on trial skills and persuasive presentation. Locally she has been active in the Cobb County Bar Association, serving in various chair positions since 2006, and she belongs to the Georgia Bar Association, the Atlanta Lawyers Club and the Marietta Lawyers Club.
Frye is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and is authorized to appear before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Superior Courts of the State of Georgia and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her work spans trial-level criminal defense, DUI matters and appellate submissions. Her courtroom experience and trial training inform how she prepares cases and presents them to judges and juries.
She currently practices at Frye Law Group, LLC, where she handles criminal defense, DUI cases, and appellate matters.
