About Kevin P
Kevin P Wichman built his legal foundation at Ave Maria School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 2008. He worked in the law school’s writing program while a student, serving as a legal research and writing assistant for Professor Rollins in 2007. Those early jobs shaped the way he approaches factual development and written argument.
After law school, Wichman established his practice in 2010 under the name Wichman Law Office, LLC. He has practiced in state and federal courts across the Midwest. Court admissions include Kansas and Missouri, and he is authorized to appear in the Eighth and Tenth Circuit courts of appeals. He also holds a Guardian ad Litem certification from the Missouri State Bar and has been appointed in cases that require investigation of the best interests of children and vulnerable adults.
Wichman’s professional life has been active outside the courtroom. He is a current member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, and several local and national trial and litigation organizations. These include the Kansas Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers, the National Trial Lawyers, and the American Association for Justice. He serves on the Board of Visitors at Ave Maria School of Law and on the school’s alumni association board. He also sits on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice’s NLD and holds memberships in groups that represent criminal defense practitioners and trial counsel.
The trajectory of his career shows a mix of trial work and organizational involvement. His memberships in the National Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers and other criminal law associations indicate active engagement with defense practice and criminal procedure issues. At the same time, participation in trial lawyer groups reflects regular work in civil litigation matters. He has balanced courtroom responsibilities with service on boards and committees that influence legal education and professional standards.
Colleagues and peers see Wichman as a practitioner who prioritizes clear writing and careful case preparation. He continues to accept civil and criminal cases and periodically serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Missouri appointments. His office handles litigation practice across state and federal venues in the region.
He currently practices through Wichman Law Office, LLC, handling civil and criminal litigation and serving as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem in Missouri matters.
