About Kevin M.
Kevin M. McGowan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1978. He completed law school in a period of statewide change in legal practice and returned to Virginia to begin his career. The date marks the start of a long stint in law that spans several decades.
After law school, McGowan moved into practice in Virginia. Over the ensuing years he has worked in courtrooms across the state and maintained active ties to the legal community. He holds current memberships in the Petersburg Bar Association, the Chesterfield Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Those memberships have kept him connected to colleagues and current practice trends.
Much of McGowan’s work has involved litigation. He has spent considerable time preparing cases for trial and appearing before judges and juries. In recent years McGowan has continued to practice in Virginia while staying active in local bar circles. He keeps current on regional legal issues through the Petersburg and Chesterfield bar associations and through the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He remains engaged in litigation matters and other civil legal work and currently maintains a practice addressing those areas in Virginia.
