Kevin Andrew Polis is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Polis is a partner at Moore, Schulman & Moore, APC, a law firm located in San Diego, California. He has been practicing law for over 24 years, serving clients throughout San Diego County and beyond.
Mr. Polis earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he graduated in 2000. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Diego State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994. During his time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he was actively involved in various student organizations and legal clinics.
Mr. Polis concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, and complex litigation. He represents individuals and families in matters involving high-asset divorces, child custody disputes, and domestic violence cases. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Polis has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Diego and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Moore, Schulman & Moore, APC, he worked as an associate attorney at James A. Hennenhoefer, APC, from 2013 to 2017.
Mr. Polis is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, and the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. He is also a certified Family Law Specialist through the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Polis is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of San Diego County effectively.
