Kenneth Dante Murena is a partner at Damian & Valori LLP in Miami, Florida, specializing in bankruptcy, business law, real estate law, and securities law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998 and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Eleventh Circuits. Mr. Murena earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, in 1998, where he served as the Senior Articles Editor for the Florida Law Review. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts & Sciences in 1995, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Communications, and Criminology.

Throughout his career, Mr. Murena has represented federal and state court-appointed receivers, monitors, and other fiduciaries in government enforcement actions brought by the SEC, CFTC, and FTC, focusing on securities, commodities, and consumer fraud. He has also represented defrauded investors in actions against perpetrators of Ponzi and other fraudulent schemes, including government enforcement actions, whistleblower proceedings, and class actions. In bankruptcy matters, Mr. Murena routinely represents trustees in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings. He has represented many interests in Chapter 11 reorganizations and liquidations, including liquidating trustees, creditors' committees, individual and corporate creditors, and corporate debtors-in-possession. He also has significant experience in Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors proceedings, serving as the fiduciary or counsel to individuals and companies seeking to purchase the going concern or its assets.

Before joining Damian & Valori LLP, Mr. Murena served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul G. Hyman, Jr., United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Florida. He then joined Tew Cardenas LLP, focusing on complex commercial litigation, receiverships. Bankruptcy. Mr. Murena is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, serving as Director of Special Projects for the Commercial Fraud Committee, and the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers, where he co-chairs the Regulatory Sub-Committee.

He is also a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Dade County Bar Association.
