About Keith J.
Keith J. Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Muhlenberg College in 1980 and a J.D. from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 1983. He entered practice soon after law school and built a career concentrated in Pennsylvania courts. His early academic training in history and law informs a methodical approach to trial preparation and case analysis.
Williams began his legal career in public service. In 1984 he joined the Bucks County Public Defender's Office, handling criminal matters for indigent clients. That experience moved him into court-appointed work that continued throughout his career. He has served on the Bucks County Public Defender conflict list and the Bucks County Children and Youth conflict list since 1988, taking cases as an appointed advocate in both adult and juvenile proceedings.
In private practice Williams has worked in a series of partnerships before establishing his own firm. He became a partner in 1988 at Williams, Schildt & MacMinn and later joined McNamara, Bolla & Williams as a partner in 1999. In 2012 he was a partner at Repko Williams. In 2016 he opened his own firm, Keith J Williams Law, where he remains the principal attorney. From 2010 to 2020 he served on the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Bar Association.
Williams' courtroom work covers criminal defense across a range of felonies and misdemeanors. His public defender background places him frequently on appointed lists. He also accepts conflict appointments involving juvenile and family-related matters, where his years on the Children and Youth conflict list are directly relevant. Colleagues note his familiarity with local court procedures and calendars in Bucks County.
Professional involvement has been a steady component of Williams' career. He has belonged to the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 1988. He joined the Bucks County Bar Association in 1989 and has been part of the Bucks County American Inns of Court and the American Inns of Court Foundation since 2010. These memberships reflect ongoing engagement with regional legal peers and continuing education opportunities.
Williams maintains offices in Doylestown and Quakertown. He practices in state courts across Bucks County and accepts both retained and court-appointed matters. His current practice focuses on criminal defense and court-appointed conflict work.
