About Kathryn

Kathryn Hill came to law after a business education. She earned a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1985 and a J.D. from the University of Miami in 1989. Those years set the foundation for a practice rooted in courtroom experience and alternative dispute resolution.

Early in her career she joined public service. In 1990 she served as an Assistant State Lawyer in the 19th Judicial Circuit State Lawyer's Office. That role placed her in front of judges and juries and gave her daily exposure to procedural and evidentiary work. It was a formative period that shaped how she handles fact development and client advocacy.

Over time Hill moved between public and private work. She built skills in litigation and in helping parties reach negotiated outcomes. Her background in both arenas informs how she assesses cases. She is an attorney admitted to practice in Florida and has maintained her professional standing in the state.

Hill has also developed a practice in dispute resolution outside the courtroom. She is a Florida Supreme Court-certified family mediator, a credential administered through the Florida Bar. That qualification allows her to serve clients who prefer mediation over contested proceedings. Her mediation work involves preparing parties, conducting sessions, and drafting settlement terms when agreements are reached.

Colleagues describe Hill as methodical and pragmatic. She tends to break complex problems into manageable parts and explains options in straightforward terms. Those traits have been useful whether she is prosecuting matters as a state lawyer or assisting families in resolving disputes.

She established Hill Law, P.A. as the base for her private practice. The office handles client consultations, mediation sessions, and representation in court when negotiations fail. The firm serves clients across matters where procedural knowledge and an ability to settle are both important.

Outside of casework Hill has maintained memberships in professional circles and participates in continuing legal education. She keeps current on changes in family law practice and mediation standards. She currently practices at Hill Law, P.A., where she handles family law matters and provides court-certified mediation services.
