About Kathleen

Kathleen Tannian took a nontraditional route to the law. She studied English and Spanish at Tufts University, earning a B.A. in 1994 after a double major that sharpened her writing and cross-cultural skills. She then pursued a law degree at New England Law | Boston, where she completed her J.D. and prepared for practice in Massachusetts.

Her early years in the law were quiet and steady. After law school she entered the Massachusetts legal community and built a practice grounded in day-to-day problem solving. Over time she became a familiar presence at local bar events and court proceedings. Her memberships in the Barnstable County Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association reflect a long-term involvement in the state’s legal networks.

Tannian’s background in English and Spanish informs how she approaches cases and clients. She writes clearly and listens closely. Those skills help when she negotiates, drafts documents, or explains complex legal issues to people who are unfamiliar with legal jargon. Her bilingual academic training also makes her comfortable communicating across cultural lines.

Colleagues and clients describe her work as methodical. She tends to the details and keeps files organized. She is the sort of attorney who prepares thoroughly for hearings and follows through on next steps. That steadiness has been important in a practice built in a state with a lively court system and a mixture of municipal and county procedures.

Outside of direct client work, Tannian stays connected to the legal community through association activities. She attends meetings and continuing legal education programs in and around Boston and Cape Cod. Those contacts help her stay current on procedural changes and local practice norms that affect everyday cases.

Today she operates from Tannian Law in Massachusetts. Her work remains focused on serving clients in the state’s courts and administrative forums, combining clear communication, careful preparation, and ties to local legal institutions. She currently practices at Tannian Law, handling legal matters for clients across Massachusetts.
