About Kathleen
Kathleen Putiri began her legal path in the trenches of legal support work and followed it into private practice. She earned her J.D. from Campbell University in 2008, completing coursework in family law. That academic grounding came after several years working as a paralegal, experience that shaped how she approaches case preparation and client intake.
Her early legal résumé reads like a practical training course. She worked as a paralegal at Fitzhugh, Parker & Alvaro in 2002 and at Matney & Associates in 2004. She spent a summer as a law clerk at Calder & McWilliam in 2007 and handled document review for Huron Consulting Group in 2008. Those roles gave her direct exposure to litigation files and the mechanics of building a case file.
Putiri moved into attorney roles soon after law school. In 2009 she was a partner at Hinson Putiri, L.L.P., and the next year she joined Younce & Vtipil, P.A. as an associate. She continued in associate positions at The Rosen Law Office, P.A. beginning in 2012 and at Bradley Law Office, P.L.L.C. in 2017. In 2018 she opened her own practice, KP Law Center, and has operated that office since.
She is admitted to practice in North Carolina and has maintained local bar participation for many years. She joined the Wake County Bar Association in 2010 and became a member of Wake Women Lawyers in 2011. Those affiliations reflect her ongoing ties to the legal community in the Raleigh area and to organizations that concentrate on practice development and networking.
Her background spans family law study, courtroom support work, document review, and years of courtroom and client-side practice. That combination informs how she handles case strategy, evidence preparation, and client communication. Colleagues and clients have seen the practical benefits of someone who has worked both behind the scenes and at counsel’s table.
Today she runs KP Law Center, where she manages the office and oversees client matters. Her practice concentrates on family law matters and related civil litigation in North Carolina, including divorce, child custody, and support issues.
