About L. Ashley

L. Ashley Schwartz earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2020. She completed a rigorous law program during a time when remote learning and shifting courtroom procedures were part of legal education. That period shaped how she approaches client matters and legal research.

After law school, Schwartz moved into practice in North Carolina. She is admitted to practice in that state and has handled a variety of matters for clients since beginning her career. Early on she focused on building practical skills—drafting pleadings, preparing briefs, and advising clients through procedural and substantive issues.

Colleagues describe her as methodical. She takes a practical approach to legal problems and favors clear communication. She spends time explaining options to clients plainly, laying out likely next steps and potential outcomes. That steadiness is useful in routine filings and in more contested matters.

Her courtroom experience includes appearances for hearings and motions. She also works behind the scenes on research and document preparation. That combination keeps her work varied from day to day. It also requires attention to deadlines and the ability to switch between advocacy and advisory tasks quickly.

Outside the courtroom, Schwartz continues to follow developments in state law. She draws on recent legal scholarship and procedural updates to refine arguments and client advice. She has maintained connections with peers from law school and the local legal community, exchanging practical insights and observing changes in practice patterns.

She is based in North Carolina and represents individuals and organizations in matters that arise under state law. Her current practice focuses on client advocacy and counseling in North Carolina.
