About Katherine
Katherine Moore began her academic path at Indiana University Bloomington, where she completed dual undergraduate degrees in 2011: a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She stayed in Indiana for law school and earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018. The combination of a scientific undergraduate background and legal training informs the way she approaches factual records and client communications.
After law school, Moore joined Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP as an associate. She practices out of the firm’s Indiana offices. Her admissions include the Indiana bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, enabling her to handle matters in both state and federal court. Her role at the firm has involved representation across those forums and collaborating with colleagues on case strategy and motion practice.
Moore’s undergraduate studies in biochemistry give her a comfort with technical materials. She has applied that comfort to reviewing expert reports, understanding laboratory data, and preparing questions for technical witnesses. Her degree in Spanish supports communication with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses, and she has participated in client meetings and interviews in Spanish when appropriate. Those skills sit alongside more traditional trial preparation tasks: drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in hearings.
At the firm, Moore splits her time between courtroom work and client counseling. She assists on pretrial motions and discovery disputes, prepares witnesses for deposition, and conducts legal research. Colleagues describe her as methodical in assembling records and precise in drafting. She has worked on matters brought in state court as well as cases that required removal or original filing in federal court.
Moore is a current member of the Indiana State Bar. Her membership keeps her connected to local practice developments and continuing legal education opportunities. She has attended seminars on evidence, procedure, and updates to state and federal rules.
Outside of casework, Moore’s combination of scientific training and language ability continues to shape her everyday practice. It informs the questions she asks and the documents she requests. She represents clients in matters filed in Indiana state and federal courts and maintains an active trial-ready practice.
