About Katherine
Katherine Kaufman trained at three universities in two countries before beginning her legal practice. She earned a B.A. from Harvard University in 2012, followed by an M.A. from Swansea University in 2014. She returned to the United States for a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, completed in 2019.
After law school, Kaufman moved into private practice. She joined Stange Law Office, PC as a junior associate in 2020 and has been part of the firm’s team since then. Her professional registration lists Missouri as the jurisdiction in which she practices.
Her role as a junior associate has involved the routine responsibilities that come with early-career practice at a full-service firm. She works on case preparation, legal research and drafting, and supports more senior attorneys on client matters. The position has given her repeated exposure to the practical demands of firm work and to the procedural contours of Missouri practice.
Kaufman’s academic background spans comparative environments. Time in the United Kingdom for graduate study complements her U.S. undergraduate and law degrees. That combination has informed how she approaches legal problems and how she adapts to different analytical frameworks.
