About Justin

Justin Stivers trained in two regions of the country before launching his own practice. He earned a B.A. from Appalachian State University in 2008 and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013. Those years shaped a path that crosses law, finance and real estate.

After law school he built a practice that sits at the intersection of legal and financial regulation. He is the owner of Stivers Law. His practice draws on credentials outside the typical lawyer’s resume — a Series 65 registration from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, a Florida real estate broker license from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and a 2-15 resident health and life insurance license from the Florida Department of Financial Services. Those qualifications inform how he advises clients on transactions and regulatory questions.

Stivers is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Florida. He has maintained ties to local bar and trial lawyer groups in the Miami-Dade area. His memberships include the Dade County Bar Association and the Miami Dade Trial Lawyers Association. He also participates in civic and professional organizations that link legal work with business and financial planning.

Since 2021 he has had an affiliation with the Florida Justice Association as an EAGLE Business Friend. In 2022 he took on roles that connect him to the broader business community in Coral Gables and to financial planners in the region. He has served as a trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the Financial Planning Association of Miami. Those roles position him at the crossroads of legal, real estate and financial interests in South Florida.

Clients and colleagues describe Stivers as pragmatic and detail-oriented in handling matters that blend contract, regulatory and transactional issues. He works on deals that require both legal analysis and an understanding of brokerage, investment and insurance rules. That combination explains his interest in professional licenses and regulatory compliance.

Stivers Law offers counsel on matters that reflect his cross-disciplinary qualifications. He runs a small firm that handles client work directly, often coordinating with accountants, brokers and insurance professionals when matters require a team approach. His practice balances courtroom habits learned in law school with regulatory know-how from financial and real estate licensing.

He continues to practice in Florida while maintaining bar status in Tennessee, and he remains active in local professional organizations. He currently focuses his practice on real estate, financial services and insurance matters.
