About Justin
Justin Moore built a steady trajectory from student to small-firm owner. He earned a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1999 and returned to the same university system for law school, receiving his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2009. Those years on campus shaped his early approach to the law and set the stage for public service.
He entered public practice in 2013 as a lawyer for the State of New Jersey. In that role he worked on matters that arise in government practice, handling the kinds of files that come through state agencies and offices. The position exposed him to procedural work and to the rhythms of public-sector legal work. It also gave him experience in managing case schedules, drafting official opinions and interacting with other government attorneys.
After nearly a decade of varied legal work, Moore launched a private practice. In 2022 he established J Moore Law LLC and took on the responsibilities of lawyer and owner. The change required shifting from an employer-based role to running a small firm: managing client intake, overseeing billing and directing the legal strategy for clients. That transition also meant he had to balance casework with the administrative demands of firm ownership.
Colleagues describe him as someone who approaches files methodically. He favors clear written work and practical problem solving. He is comfortable in written advocacy and in advising clients about procedural choices. Those habits reflect his years in state work and the early training he received at Rutgers.
Moore maintains his practice in New Jersey and draws on his background when advising clients on matters that touch state procedures and statutes. He has handled a range of matters since opening his firm, representing individuals and entities that require counsel on disputes and compliance issues under state law. His caseload reflects an interest in practical outcomes rather than headline litigation.
He continues to manage cases and client relationships at J Moore Law LLC. He is active in the profession and holds current association memberships. He currently practices through J Moore Law LLC, providing legal services to individuals and organizations in New Jersey.
