About Justin I.

Justin I. Woods earned both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He completed a B.S. in 1989 and returned to the same campus to earn his J.D. in 1996. Those formative years in Los Angeles shaped his legal training and introduced him to the practical work of the profession.

At Loyola Law School he completed the core curriculum that prepares students for practice: doctrinal study, legal research and writing, and clinical opportunities. The combination of an earlier undergraduate degree and later professional study gave him time to ground his approach to legal questions in both broad academic study and focused legal training.

After finishing law school, Woods moved into the practice of law. Over the years he has handled a range of matters typical of attorneys who trained in large urban programs, including counseling clients, drafting pleadings and agreements, and participating in dispute resolution. His career has involved both advising clients on legal options and working through procedural processes when matters advanced in court or through negotiated settlement.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in how he assesses issues and methodical in preparing cases or transactions. He is comfortable working on multi-step matters that require coordination among clients, opposing counsel and third parties. He approaches deadlines and procedural requirements with attention to detail, and he has experience managing the documentation and filings that many legal matters require.

Woods has kept ties to the Los Angeles legal community since his studies there. He has remained engaged with peers and local institutions that intersect with legal practice, and he draws on that professional network in day-to-day work. His educational background at a single institution for both undergraduate and law degrees gives him a continuity of perspective that informs how he communicates complex legal points to clients.

He maintains an office at 2800 Energy Centre and conducts his practice from that location. He currently practices law from that office, focusing on serving the legal needs of his clients.
