About Justin D.
Justin D. Studstill built his legal foundation at Valdosta State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2004. He went on to graduate from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2007. Those years shaped a lawyer who moved quickly from classroom to courtroom.
He began his career at Balch & Bingham, LLP in 2007. The firm offered a traditional start in a busy practice setting and exposed him to litigation matters early on. In 2009 he joined O’Neal, Brown & Clark, where he continued to handle contested cases and gained expanded trial experience. By 2013 he became a partner at The Studstill Firm, LLP, a move that set the course for his independent practice and its emphasis on courtroom advocacy.
Studstill is admitted to practice in multiple Georgia courts and federal districts. He is licensed in the State of Georgia and is admitted to the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He also holds admission in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Those credentials allow him to represent clients in both state and federal trial and appellate settings.
His professional life includes steady involvement in local and statewide legal organizations. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. He also holds memberships in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the William Augustus Bootle American Inn of Court. Locally, he participates in the Valdosta Bar Association, the Macon Bar Association and the Macon Trial Lawyers Association. These affiliations keep him engaged with peers, current practice issues and trial procedure.
Colleagues describe him as practical and direct in court. He balances preparation with a willingness to try cases. That combination has guided his practice since forming his firm. He handles pretrial motion work, discovery disputes and the demands of jury trials, moving cases through courts at both the trial and appellate levels.
Today he works from the offices of Studstill Firm, LLP. He represents clients in litigation across Georgia and in the federal districts where he holds admission. He handles civil litigation and trial work at Studstill Firm, LLP.
