About Justin

Justin Bryan built his legal foundation at Texas A&M, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in 2007, and at Texas Tech University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2010. He moved quickly from the classroom into practice, carrying the research and writing skills he developed in law school into a variety of institutional settings. His academic record reflects an early interest in practical lawyering and public service.

Fresh out of law school, Bryan entered the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Air Force. In that role he advised commanders and service members on a range of legal issues and handled military justice matters. The JAG years are often formative for lawyers; Bryan’s time in uniform exposed him to fast-paced decision making, courtroom work, and client counseling under pressure.

After leaving active military service, Bryan shifted to private practice. He joined Fee, Smith, Sharp & Vitullo, LLP as an associate in 2014. There he refined skills in civil practice and learned the day-to-day mechanics of managing client files, preparing filings and appearing in court. The experience at a midsize firm gave him exposure to litigation practice and the business side of running a law firm.

In 2016 he became a partner at McCathern, PLLC. As a partner he took on a broader set of responsibilities. He supervises case strategy and works directly with clients on complex matters. The partner role also involves mentoring junior lawyers and helping guide the firm’s approach to contentious and transactional work.

Throughout his career Bryan has remained based in Texas and is licensed to practice in the state. His professional path — military service followed by private practice at both associate and partner levels — creates a mix of courtroom experience, client counseling, and firm leadership. Colleagues describe him as thorough and practical in his approach to legal problem solving.

Outside the office he has maintained ties to legal and community networks, balancing professional obligations with civic involvement. He continues to draw on his JAG background when advising clients facing regulatory or administrative issues, and on his firm experience when addressing litigation strategy. He practices law at McCathern, PLLC and represents clients across Texas from that office, handling matters that arise under state law and in administrative settings.
