About Julie Debra

Julie Debra Globus built an academic path that crossed disciplines and continents. She earned a B.A. in Government and Philosophy from Skidmore College in 1991. That was followed by study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she completed a one-year program in government and political science and later earned an M.A. in Political Theory and Government in 1995. She finished her formal legal training with a J.D. from Rutgers in 1997. The sequence of degrees shows a sustained interest in the intersection of political ideas and public institutions, then a turn toward practicing law.

Her early scholastic choices informed the way she approaches legal questions. A grounding in political theory encouraged careful attention to underlying frameworks. At the same time, law school shifted that attention toward application and procedure. Those twin influences appear throughout her writing and client work, shaping a style that values close reading of texts and precise argumentation.

Globus is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey. That dual admission has allowed her to serve clients whose matters cross state lines and to adapt to the procedural differences between the two systems. She currently practices at SABHARWAL, GLOBUS & LIM LLP, where she conducts client representation and advises on matters that require coordination in both jurisdictions.

Colleagues describe her as deliberate in preparation and clear in courtroom explanation. She prefers to break complex problems into their elemental parts. That habit shows in how she frames issues for clients and opposing counsel. It also influences how she prepares witnesses and organizes documentary material.

Outside the courtroom and conference room, Globus’s background in political theory continues to surface. She often draws connections between regulatory design and the practical effects rules produce for organizations and individuals. That perspective helps when interpreting statutes or anticipating how administrative bodies may react to new facts.

Her career trajectory reflects steady movement from academic study to practical lawyering. She has maintained an interest in the institutional and conceptual foundations of legal disputes while handling the daily demands of client work. Currently she practices at SABHARWAL, GLOBUS & LIM LLP, focusing her work on matters arising in New York and New Jersey.
