About Julian W.
Julian W. DuRant built his legal foundation at the University of South Carolina, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2011 after beginning studies in 2007. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2014. Those years shaped his approach to practice: steady preparation, attention to detail and an emphasis on clear legal writing.
After law school, DuRant took the steps required to practice in both Carolinas. He is a member of the South Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar and maintains active status in each. That dual admission has allowed him to represent clients on matters that cross state lines and to build familiarity with the procedural differences between the two systems.
DuRant practices from DuRant & DuRant, P.A., where he conducts client consultations, prepares pleadings and appears in court when needed. His work includes advising individuals and businesses on a variety of legal questions and handling disputes that arise in day-to-day commercial and personal matters. He has experience taking cases from initial intake through resolution, whether by negotiation or through litigation.
Colleagues describe DuRant as methodical in the way he prepares for hearings and deliberate in the way he communicates options to clients. He favors plain language in written work and strives to reduce legal complexity for the people he represents. In practice, that often means breaking a problem into discrete steps, identifying deadlines and presenting realistic choices.
Outside the office, DuRant keeps current on developments in both state bars. He participates in bar activities and attends continuing legal education events to maintain familiarity with changes in statutes and procedures. He also adapts practice procedures to reflect evolving court rules and filing requirements in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Clients who come to DuRant & DuRant, P.A. can expect a lawyer who balances courtroom readiness with efforts to resolve matters efficiently. He is licensed and active in both the North Carolina and South Carolina bars. He currently practices at DuRant & DuRant, P.A., handling matters across North Carolina and South Carolina.
