About Julia
Julia Lemon earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis in 2004, where she studied sociology and Spanish. She graduated that year with membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Delta Phi. She went on to attend Santa Clara University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2007.
While still in law school, Lemon spent a summer in the Santa Clara County Juvenile Dependency Court. In 2004 she interned for the Honorable Leonard P. Edwards. That period gave her early exposure to the courtroom and to the procedures that shape dependency proceedings.
Her first professional placement at Lonich & Patton, LLP began as a law clerk in 2005. After completing law school she joined the firm as an attorney in 2007. Those years at a single firm provided continuity during the transition from student to practicing lawyer. Her tasks included legal research, drafting pleadings and participating in client conferences, work typical of associates at civil and litigation-oriented practices.
Lemon was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2007 and has maintained active membership. She also holds membership in the Santa Clara Bar Association and the Better Business Bureau. Her academic honors and early court internship suggest an interest in matters that intersect with family and juvenile issues, though her professional record is centered on the practical work of an attorney: case preparation, client counseling and court appearances when required.
Colleagues describe her as steady and practical in approach. She blends courtroom experience from the juvenile court internship with day-to-day practice tasks learned at Lonich & Patton. Outside of casework, her association memberships keep her connected to the legal community in Santa Clara and across California. She currently practices law in California and remains an active member of the State Bar of California and the Santa Clara Bar Association.
