About Julia H
Julia H Sullivan built a legal foundation over more than two decades of study and practice. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and African Studies from Beloit College in 1997. She went on to receive her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2005.
Her early career took root in California. In 2006 she worked as an associate at Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson and served as a lawyer at Finnegan & Diba, A Law Corporation. Those formative years exposed her to litigation and client counseling in a variety of civil matters. In 2010 she returned to Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson as of counsel, a role that overlapped with other private practice work.
Sullivan moved into private practice ownership in 2011 when she opened The Law Office of Julia H. Sullivan, LLC. She later formed a partnership in 2017 at Stone & Sullivan, LLC. In 2020 she established The Sullivan Law Office, which she currently owns. Her career path shows a mix of firm experience and solo practice, giving her familiarity with both small firm dynamics and the administrative demands of running an office.
She is admitted to practice before a range of courts. Her credentials include admission to the bars of Georgia and California, and she is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions allow her to handle matters that extend beyond a single state’s courts.
Professional and civic involvement has been a steady part of her work. She serves on the board of the Georgia Legal Services Program and holds memberships in the Savannah Estate Planning Council, ElderCounsel, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Association of Special Needs Planners, WealthCounsel, and the Savannah Bar Association. She has been active in the Savannah Bar Association’s executive committee since 2019. These affiliations reflect an emphasis on estate planning, elder law, and planning for clients with special needs.
Colleagues describe her as practical and thorough in client matters. She balances client-facing work with organizational responsibilities, including board service and bar activities. Her practice has grown through a combination of private counseling, courtroom admissions, and professional networking.
Sullivan is based at The Sullivan Law Office, where she handles estate planning, elder law, and special-needs planning for individuals and families. She focuses her current practice on those areas.
