About Julia Alexa
Julia Alexa Rogers earned her law degree from Drexel University School of Law in 2013 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at Loyola College in 2010. She came to law school with an interest in public defense and courtroom practice. Her academic years included hands-on clinical work that would shape the early part of her career.
While still in law school Rogers spent time as a clinical student at the Defender Association of Philadelphia in 2012. That placement led to her first paid role at the same organization, where she worked as a lawyer beginning in 2013. Those early years placed her in daily contact with client advocacy, trial preparation and the practical demands of criminal defense in a busy urban setting.
Rogers moved into government service in 2016 when she served as a Deputy Lawyer General at the NJ Lawyer General s Office. The next year she joined The BenAri Law Firm as a lawyer, broadening her practice beyond public defense. In 2018 she took on a leadership role as the managing lawyer of the Criminal & Family Law Departments at Ciccarelli Law Offices, overseeing casework and supervising other attorneys in two distinct practice areas.
Her professional affiliations reflect her work across state lines. Rogers is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar. She is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and her career has included roles in public, nonprofit and private practice settings.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and direct in court. She has handled matters that straddle criminal and family law, a combination that often requires attention to evidentiary detail as well as sensitivity to personal and familial consequences. Rogers’ background in public defense and later supervisory responsibilities give her a range of courtroom and office experience.
Rogers practices from the Lancaster office, where she continues to handle matters in criminal and family law. She is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and works on cases that arise in both jurisdictions.
