About Joshua P.
Joshua P. Eldredge earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2013 after beginning his legal studies in 2010. He completed the law program at a time when courts and family law practice were seeing shifting approaches to custody and support. His legal education provided training in litigation and client counseling that he would carry into practice.
After law school, Eldredge built a practice centered on family law. He is admitted to practice in Utah and holds admission to appear before the Tenth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle cases at both the state and federal appellate levels where procedural or constitutional issues arise. He has experience taking matters through trial and, when necessary, through appellate briefing and argument.
Colleagues describe his courtroom manner as direct and methodical. He represents individuals in divorce proceedings, custody disputes, and other family-related matters. In office filings and in hearings he tends to emphasize factual detail and procedural clarity. He prepares pleadings and briefs and advocates at settlement conferences, temporary hearings, bench trials, and jury trials when the case requires.
Eldredge joined Utah Family Law Group, PLLC, where he works with clients across the Salt Lake area and throughout Utah. At the firm he handles contested matters and negotiated resolutions. He regularly meets with clients to review case options, evidence, and potential outcomes. Court work forms an important part of his practice, but he also pursues negotiated agreements when those serve a client’s interests. He also assists clients with post-judgment enforcement and modification matters.
Outside the courtroom, Eldredge stays current on developments in family law and appellate procedure relevant to his caseload. He monitors changes in state law and precedent from the Tenth Circuit that can affect family law disputes. He balances litigation strategy with attention to long-term consequences for the people involved. He currently practices family law at Utah Family Law Group, PLLC, representing clients in Utah and in matters that may proceed to the Tenth Circuit.
