About Joshua
Joshua Graubart built a legal foundation across two countries and several institutions. He earned an AB from Dartmouth College in 1998, completed a JD at Duke University School of Law in 2005, and went on to obtain an LLM from the University of London in 2006. Those years supplied both the academic credentials and an international perspective that have shaped his practice.
After law school and advanced study, Graubart established a private practice under his own name. He operates the Law Offices of Joshua Graubart, P.C., where he has handled a range of matters for individuals and businesses. His work has bridged transactional counseling and courtroom advocacy, and his practice reflects training in both domestic and international legal systems.
Graubart is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. He also holds admissions to several federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Those admissions allow him to take on federal litigation in two states and to appear in some of the country’s busiest trial and appellate venues.
Outside of the courtroom, Graubart participates in professional organizations that align with his interests. He is a member of the Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale (ALAI) US Chapter and the New York Chapter of the Copyright Society of the USA. He also belongs to the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Bar, and the New Jersey State Bar. These affiliations keep him engaged with developments in copyright, publishing, and related fields.
Colleagues and clients describe Graubart as a lawyer who combines academic training with practical problem-solving. He structures cases to address both legal risk and business realities. His background in U.S. and U.K. legal education informs how he approaches cross-border issues, licensing questions, and disputes over authorship and rights. His current practice concentrates on intellectual property, particularly copyright and related litigation and counseling.
