About Joshua A.

Joshua A. Pops built a foundation in the liberal arts before turning to the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Rutgers University in 2001. He then obtained a California State teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles in 2005. He completed his legal education at Willamette University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2007.

After law school, Pops established his own practice in Washington. In 2011 he opened the Law Office of Joshua Pops, P.L.L.C. The office has operated under that name since then, serving clients across the state. He is admitted to practice in Washington.

Pops has kept an active presence in bar association work. He has served in the Washington State Bar Association Young Lawyer Division as Social Co-Chair and has been involved with the division’s Outreach Committee since 2011. He also acts as the Young Lawyer Division liaison to the WSBA Solo and Small Practice Section. Outside the WSBA, Pops holds memberships in the Washington State Association for Justice and the Cardozo Society, roles he has maintained since 2011.

Those affiliations have shaped his approach to practice. He operates a small office and handles matters that come through local referral networks and community contacts. His earlier training as a teacher informs how he explains legal matters to clients and prepares them for hearings and negotiations. He tends to favor clear, direct communication and practical planning in client work.

Colleagues describe his engagement in professional organizations as consistent. He has stayed active in committees and section work while managing the day-to-day demands of running a law office. That mix of organizational involvement and private practice has kept him connected to developments in Washington law and to the network of practitioners across the state.

Pops balances firm administration with client work. He maintains the Law Office of Joshua Pops, P.L.L.C., handling cases and supervising operations from that base. He currently concentrates his practice in Washington state, representing clients from his office at the Law Office of Joshua Pops P.L.L.C.
