About Joshua A

Joshua A Jenkins earned his Juris Doctor at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at Cumberland University in 2007. He moved from the classroom into the courtroom environment soon after law school and began building a practice grounded in the issues that occupy local construction and commercial clients.

Early in his career Jenkins joined a number of professional organizations. He became a member of the American Bar Association and the Andrew Jackson Inn of Court in 2011. That same year he joined the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and the Rutherford and Cannon County Bar Association. These affiliations have provided a steady professional network and a forum for staying current on developments that affect contractors and businesses across the state.

Jenkins has taken on formal leadership roles inside the bar. He served as Vice-Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Construction Section from 2016 to 2017, and he has been Chair of that section since 2017. Locally, he has served as Public Service Chair for the Rutherford and Cannon County Bar Association since 2016. Those positions have involved organizing section activities, coordinating educational programming, and engaging other lawyers on policy and practice matters.

He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and in the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee. Over time his work has centered on disputes tied to construction projects and related commercial issues. He handles contested matters that arise during projects, and he advises clients on contractual questions that lead to those disputes. His cases have required attention to contract language, project schedules, and the procedural rules that govern state and federal forums.

Jenkins practices at Hagan Jenkins Law Group, PLLC. At the firm he works on matters that touch contractors, owners, and design professionals, helping clients translate technical project problems into legal strategies. He also remains active in bar governance and section programming, which keeps him engaged with the practical challenges that construction lawyers encounter in court and at the negotiating table.

He continues to serve clients in construction-related disputes and commercial matters, balancing courtroom work and counseling on contract issues.
