Joshua S. Brownstein is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Brownstein is the founder and principal attorney at Brownstein Law Group, P.C., a law firm located in Novato, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout Marin County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Brownstein earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 2000, graduating with distinction. During law school, he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Honor Society. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Chico, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1996.
Mr. Brownstein concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, DUI defense, and personal injury law. He represents individuals charged with various offenses, including DUI/DWI, assault, domestic violence, and theft. His personal injury practice encompasses cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, and dog bites. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at two prominent national law firms, gaining extensive experience in litigation.
