About Joseph

Joseph Sternberg earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He moved into private practice after earning his J.D., building a career that spans two state bars. He is admitted to practice in both Arizona and Florida and has worked across those jurisdictions since early in his career.

Sternberg co-founded Landers & Sternberg PLLC in 2018 and serves as the firm’s managing partner. He helped establish the firm’s operations and remains involved in daily management. Colleagues describe him as detail-oriented in the handling of administrative duties and deliberate in allocating matters across the team. Those responsibilities include supervising case development and helping set the firm’s direction.

Before founding the firm, Sternberg gained experience working in environments that required coordination across state lines. That background informed the decision to seek admissions in Arizona and Florida, where he maintains active registrations. The choice to practice in two states reflects a practical approach to client needs rather than a narrow specialty. He handles matters that arise in both state systems and coordinates filings and appearances where necessary.

Community work is a consistent thread in Sternberg’s professional life. Since 2016 he has been involved with the Dade County Put Something Back Pro Bono Project. That service has kept him engaged with community legal needs and provided ongoing exposure to a range of civil matters on a volunteer basis. The pro bono work complements the firm’s caseload and provides a public-service perspective to routine practice.

At Landers & Sternberg, Sternberg balances managerial duties with client work. He divides his time between supervising the firm and representing clients in matters that require counsel admitted in Arizona and Florida. Staff at the firm handle intake and day-to-day client contact, while Sternberg focuses on complex procedural questions and strategic decisions that affect case trajectories.

Outside the office he participates in professional networks and local bar activities. He maintains connections in both states, which aids in handling multi-jurisdictional matters and finding local resources when a case crosses state lines. As of 2026, he continues to practice through Landers & Sternberg PLLC and remains active in pro bono programs while overseeing the firm’s operations and client representation in Arizona and Florida.
