Kunkel is active in professional organizations across Ohio and nationally. He has been a member of the Ohio State Bar Association since 2010. He joined the Columbus Bar Association and the American Bar Association in 2013. He is also a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, joining that group the same year.
