About Joseph

Joseph Gaydos earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1983 and went on to build a long career in Pennsylvania law. He completed his formal legal education in Pittsburgh and entered practice in the state soon after graduation. Those early years shaped a practitioner comfortable in both courtroom settings and administrative proceedings.

He rose into firm leadership fairly quickly. In 1987 he became president of Gaydos, Gaydos & Associates, P.C., a role that placed him squarely in the day-to-day management of a private law office. That position required him to balance case work, client relations and the administrative duties that come with running a small firm. The title has been part of his professional identity ever since.

Gaydos has been an active participant in the legal community across several county and state bar groups. He joined the Allegheny County Bar Association in 1987 and later took membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Fayette County Bar Association beginning in 2008. Between 2002 and 2010 he served as a hearing officer on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board’s Hearing Committee. In that capacity he presided over disciplinary hearings, reviewed evidence and prepared findings for the court’s consideration.

That combination of private practice and service on disciplinary panels has given him a practical understanding of both advocacy and regulatory processes. Longstanding ties to local bar associations keep him connected to the networks that shape practice standards and court procedure across the region. Colleagues and peers have encountered him in committee settings, continuing legal education events and courtroom calendars over several decades.

Throughout his career he has practiced law exclusively in Pennsylvania and has maintained offices under the Gaydos, Gaydos & Associates, P.C. name. He has balanced firm responsibilities with volunteer judicial-administrative work and ongoing bar membership. He remains based in the state and continues to handle matters that arise in Pennsylvania courts and administrative forums.

He currently practices at Gaydos, Gaydos & Associates, P.C., handling legal matters in Pennsylvania state courts and administrative forums.
