About Joseph D.

Joseph D. Pometto is the founder and principal attorney at Joe Pometto Law. He set up his practice after several years of training and courtroom exposure. The firm bears his name and serves clients in matters that rely on litigation and appellate work.

Pometto earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. He continued his legal studies at Duquesne University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2013. His education combined classroom work with early practical experiences that informed his approach to courtroom procedure and appellate advocacy.

Soon after law school he moved into active practice. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and holds admissions to several federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions have enabled him to take cases from initial filings through to appellate review.

Across his career he has handled matters that required both trial preparation and appellate briefing. He has worked on filings in federal and state venues and engaged with the procedural demands those forums impose. His work has involved courtroom appearances, written motions, and appellate submissions in multi-level litigation.

Pometto maintains professional ties through bar association memberships. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 2013 and holds membership in the Allegheny County Bar Association from the same year to the present. He participates in these organizations as part of ongoing professional development and collegial exchange.

At Joe Pometto Law he operates a practice that handles litigation and appeals. He manages case strategy, client communication, and courtroom preparation for matters brought in state and federal courts. Colleagues describe him as procedural and thorough in preparing records for trial and appeal.

He regularly files documents in federal trial courts and appellate courts and handles oral advocacy when matters proceed to hearings or arguments. His current practice emphasizes litigation and appellate work in Pennsylvania and in federal courts.
