About Jose Nunez

Jose Nunez Jr took a steady, deliberate path to law. He earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2005 and continued his studies with an M.S. from Hunter College, City University of New York, in 2009. He completed his legal education at Ave Maria School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2011. Those years of study spanned two regions and a mix of liberal arts and graduate work, and they set a clear foundation for a career that would move between public service and private practice.

He entered public service in 2014 as an Assistant State Lawyer at the State Lawyer's Office. In that role he handled courtroom assignments and day-to-day prosecution duties typical of a government attorney. The position exposed him to calendar management, evidentiary hearings and the procedural rhythm of state litigation. It was a formative period that sharpened his courtroom skills and familiarized him with the practical demands of trial work.

Nunez moved into private practice in 2016 when he joined Verderamo & Escobar as an associate. The following year he became a partner at Verderamo & Nunez. Those years in a firm setting added a different set of responsibilities: client intake, file supervision and working alongside other attorneys on strategy. He balanced courtroom appearances with the administrative side of running matters through the legal system.

By the time he established the Law Offices of Jose Nuñez, Jr. he had experience on both sides of the aisle — in public prosecution and in private defense and counsel work. That blend informed how he approaches cases and how he manages interactions with clients and opposing counsel. He is licensed to practice in Florida, and his background shows steady movement from government work to firm leadership and finally to his own practice.

Today he operates from the Law Offices of Jose Nuñez, Jr., serving clients in Florida. He continues to draw on courtroom experience and firm-level management to handle the legal matters that come to his office. His current practice focuses on providing legal services to clients in Florida.
