About Jordon
Jordon Harlan practices law on both sides of the Sierra Nevada. He maintains offices in San Diego and Durango and has built a career that stretches between California and Colorado.
Harlan's academic path began at the University of San Diego, where he completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002. He returned to the same university for law school and earned his J.D. in 2010. The combination of business studies and legal training has informed the way he approaches cases and client matters.
Soon after finishing law school, Harlan moved into legal education. In 2012 he joined the faculty at the University of San Diego as an adjunct professor. His time teaching gave him a chance to step back from day-to-day practice and engage with emerging lawyers, while staying current on doctrinal developments and practical skills taught in the classroom.
In 2015 Harlan established Harlan Law, PC. That year marked a clear shift into a leadership role in private practice. From his San Diego and Durango offices he handles work that requires an understanding of two different state systems. He is licensed to practice in California and Colorado and structures his practice so clients in both states can access counsel without unnecessary delay.
Colleagues and clients describe Harlan as methodical in his preparation. He draws on his business background when advising clients, which helps in matters that raise financial or organizational questions. He balances written work and client meetings, and he remains involved in the practical details of each matter his firm accepts. His career so far includes both classroom teaching and managing a private practice across state lines, a combination that informs his everyday approach to legal problems.
As of 2026, Harlan continues to operate Harlan Law, PC from offices in San Diego and Durango and focuses his practice on handling legal matters in California and Colorado.
