About Jordan

Jordan Whaley built his legal foundation in Tennessee. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee in 2010 and a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Memorial University — John J. Duncan, Jr. School of Law in 2017.

After law school he entered the practice of law in Tennessee. He is admitted to practice in the state and joined Baker Associates as a lawyer. At the firm he has taken on a range of tasks typical of a mid-career attorney: preparing filings, appearing in court, negotiating on behalf of clients and advising on procedural and substantive legal issues.

Whaley’s approach to cases is practical. He focuses on clear communication and on translating complex legal concepts into usable advice for clients. He spends time explaining options and likely outcomes, so clients can make informed decisions. He also places emphasis on procedural preparedness, giving attention to deadlines, filings and courtroom presentation.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and steady. He balances attention to detail with an eye toward case resolution. That combination shapes how he manages client matters and interacts with opposing counsel. He handles the routine and the unexpected by preparing thoroughly and staying organized under pressure.

Outside the courtroom and office work, Whaley draws on his local education and ties to the Tennessee community. His academic path — from the University of Tennessee to Lincoln Memorial University’s law school — has kept him rooted in the state’s legal environment and court system. That background informs his work on matters that arise in Tennessee’s courts and before administrative bodies.

He practices from Baker Associates’ offices and serves clients across the state. His work at the firm involves both representing clients in hearings and counseling them on legal strategy. He currently practices at Baker Associates, where he focuses on providing legal representation to individuals and businesses across Tennessee.
