About Jonathon

Jonathon Zitney built his legal foundation in Southern California. He earned a B.A. in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004 and went on to receive a J.D. from Western State University College of Law in 2008. Those academic years framed an interest in client-centered litigation and dispute resolution that would guide his career.

Early in his professional life, Zitney moved into family law. He joined local practices and handled a mix of contested and uncontested matters. Over time he took on cases involving divorce, child custody, spousal support and property division. He has balanced courtroom work with negotiated settlements, adapting his approach to the needs of each client and each case.

Zitney earned recognition from the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Family Law Specialist. That credential marks a specific legal qualification in family law and indicates additional study and peer review in that field. Beyond the certification, he has stayed engaged with the bar and local legal community. He holds membership in the San Bernardino County Bar Association and has been listed with the National Association of Distinguished Counsel since 2015. Earlier in his career he was affiliated with the American Inns of Court for 20129 and the East West Bar Association for 20099.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and pragmatic in case preparation. He prepares pleadings, negotiates agreements and conducts hearings when necessary. His approach aims for clarity in legal strategy and efficient case management. He has represented clients in both informal settlement talks and contested court proceedings, adjusting tactics to the circumstances at hand.

Zitney practices in California and maintains an active presence in the regional legal community. He draws on his academic background in economics and accounting when addressing complex property and support calculations. He also relies on the specialist training that comes with his certified status when advising clients on statutory and procedural issues.

He currently maintains a practice handling family law matters across California, focusing on divorce, custody and related financial issues.
