Jonathan Matthew Guilfoil is the managing member of The Guilfoil Law Group, a firm based in North Kansas City, Missouri. He specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, DUI/DWI, and traffic ticket cases. The firm is located at 1236 Swift Street, North Kansas City, MO 64116. Mr.
Guilfoil earned his Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, focusing on DUI/DWI defense, criminal law, and personal injury cases. He is a member of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Association of DUI Trial Lawyers. Served as the Missouri State Delegate to the National College for DUI Defense during 2006-2007.
Mr. Guilfoil has authored the "Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and Cross-Examination of the Arresting Officer" chapter for The Missouri Bar Association's MOBARCLE series, a desk reference manual used by attorneys throughout Missouri in DWI cases. He has also taught numerous courses on DWI and other topics to lawyers, police, and other law enforcement officials in Kansas and Missouri. He is certified as an IACP/NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor in Missouri and is one of only two defense attorneys who have completed the 24-hour Drug Evaluation and Classification Overview Course.
