Jonathan S. Dean is an attorney based in Ocala, Florida, with over 34 years of experience specializing in business law, estate planning, and real estate law. As the managing partner at Dean & Dean, LLP, a firm he co-founded with his wife, Susan Dean, he has established a reputation for delivering effective legal solutions. The firm operates from 230 NE 25th Avenue, Suite 100, Ocala, FL 34470, where it serves clients. Mr. Dean earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M — Cooley Law School in 1987. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Michigan State University in 1982.
His legal career commenced when he was admitted to the Florida Bar on October 5, 1987. Since that date, he has maintained an active license, reflecting his commitment to the legal profession and his clients. Throughout his career, Mr. Dean has held several significant positions that have enhanced his expertise and influence in the legal community. From 1998 to 2016, he served as General Counsel for the Marion County Hospital District, providing legal guidance on various healthcare-related matters. His involvement with the Central Florida College Foundation as General Counsel and board member further shows his dedication to education and community service.

John Lutheran Church. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Dean enjoys raising Angus cattle with his brother, former Marion County Sheriff Ed Dean. He also has a focus on thoroughbred horse racing, fishing, and playing golf, which reflects his diverse interests and commitment to both his profession and personal life.
