About Jonathan D.
Jonathan D. Molleur built his legal foundation in Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Worcester State College in 2014 after beginning the program in 2011. He then attended Massachusetts School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2017. Those years framed his interest in courtroom work and public defense.
After law school, Molleur moved into roles that put him inside the courts. He served as a Bar Advocate of Worcester County for the Committee for Public Counsel Services and completed the Committee’s Zealous Advocacy in the District Courts training program. That work gave him repeated hands-on experience in arraignments, hearings and trial preparation in district courts across the region.
Molleur added several formal certifications that reflect the settings where he practices. He is Limited Assistance Representation certified by the Massachusetts Trial Court, a credential that allows him to help clients in specific, discrete legal tasks. He also completed a Paralegal Studies Certificate Program at UMass Lowell. Those credentials sit alongside his casework and shape how he advises clients on practical next steps.
He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Those admissions mean he represents clients in state-level matters and can appear in federal court when cases require it. His courtroom work has often involved the procedural and evidentiary questions that determine whether a case moves forward.
Molleur established JD Molleur Law, PLLC to provide accessible representation in criminal and related matters. The firm handles a mix of appearances in district court and more limited representation in civil or administrative settings under the Massachusetts Trial Court program. He draws on courtroom experience and courtroom procedure to manage cases pragmatically. He emphasizes clear communication with clients about realistic options and next steps.
Outside the courtroom he has worked on continuing training that aligns with public defense practice. He remains engaged with local courtroom procedures and county-level advocacy work. He now leads JD Molleur Law, PLLC, representing clients in criminal matters and limited-assistance civil issues.
