About Jonathan
Jonathan Booker earned his B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University in 2003 and completed his J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law in 2010. His academic path combined a broad study of global affairs with three years of legal training, forming a foundation for practice in a state far from both campuses. He later gained admission to practice in Colorado and has built his career there.
Early in his career Booker moved into roles that exposed him to courtroom procedure, client counseling and the day-to-day realities of civil practice. He has been an active participant in the Colorado legal community. Colleagues and peers have known him through bar activities and association work as much as through his caseload.
From 2021 to 2022 he served as president of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association. During his term he led the association through routine governance and public-facing activities. The role placed him at the center of an organization that connects Hispanic attorneys across the state and runs programs for professional development and outreach. He remains engaged in bar and association circles in Colorado.
Booker practices from Hernandez & Associates, P.C., where he represents clients across a range of matters in Colorado. His work has required regular appearances in state forums and interaction with clients navigating legal processes. He handles litigation and transactional tasks, prepares filings, and counsels clients on procedural strategy. He approaches each matter with attention to practical outcomes and the procedural rules that govern state practice.
People who have worked with Booker describe him as deliberate in his preparation and straightforward in court. He prefers clear explanations for clients and practical planning for each step of a case. He has combined association leadership with ongoing practice, balancing administrative responsibilities with client work.
Outside of formal roles, Booker has taken part in initiatives aimed at increasing access to legal services and peer networking within Colorado. He has used association platforms to foster connections among newer lawyers and more established practitioners.
He currently practices law in Colorado at Hernandez & Associates, P.C., handling matters in the state's courts and advising clients on state law issues.
