John William Hanson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Hanson is the principal attorney at the Hanson Law Firm, a practice located in La Jolla, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the San Diego area and Southern California.
Mr. Hanson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he graduated in 1990. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Iowa, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. He furthered his legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Legal Theory and History from the University of London.
Mr. Hanson concentrates his practice in the areas of appellate law, civil litigation, consumer protection, elder law, and personal injury. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving product defects, consumer fraud, and elder abuse. Mr. Hanson is an active member of the La Jolla Bar Association and holds membership in the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.
