About John W
John W Wallace earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. He arrived at law school after several years of study and left with a clear sense of how he wanted to work. The years at UGA shaped the practical side of his legal education and prepared him for courtroom work and public service.
He began his legal career in public office. In 2008 he joined the State Lawyer’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Lawyer. That early post put him in the middle of day-to-day prosecution and the operational realities of a busy circuit office. He handled dockets, prepared filings and learned how cases move from arraignment to resolution.
By 2010 he had transitioned into private practice at Moseley, Prichard, Parrish, Knight & Jones. At that firm he worked on matters for private clients and continued to refine litigation skills learned in the public sector. His time there involved client counseling, drafting motions and appearing in court. The move also gave him experience navigating the different expectations of government and private practice.
He later joined Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., where he remains in practice. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Over the years his work has crossed jurisdictional lines and required attention to procedural detail in multiple courts. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and deliberate in preparation. He approaches cases with an emphasis on clear deadlines and careful record-keeping, rather than broad rhetoric.
Today he continues at Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A., practicing across the three states where he is admitted and handling a range of matters that reflect his years in both public and private roles. He concentrates his current practice on matters spanning the jurisdictions in which he holds admission.
