About John R. Willamowski

John R. Willamowski Jr. studied history at Ohio Northern University before turning to the law at The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and then completed his Juris Doctor at Pettit College. Those years on campus shaped how he examines facts and frames arguments. He learned to weigh context and precedent, and he still draws on that training in his daily work.

He is admitted to practice in Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia. He holds memberships in the Mercer County Bar Association, the Allen County Bar Association and the West Virginia State Bar Association. Those connections link him to courts, judges and fellow lawyers across state lines. He attends bar meetings and continuing legal education programs as part of maintaining those ties and staying current on developments in practice and procedure.

Willamowski’s professional path led him to Faber and Associates, LLC, where he practices law in a regional setting. At the firm he assists clients who face legal problems in more than one state. He is comfortable handling matter logistics that cross jurisdictional lines. That practical experience reflects the breadth of his admissions and the geographic span of his memberships.

Colleagues describe him as someone who approaches problems methodically. He breaks issues into component parts and traces them back to statutes, rules and precedent. He adapts his style depending on the task. Some matters require detailed document review and careful drafting. Others demand advocacy in constrained time frames. He has managed both kinds of work in his career.

Outside of firm work, he remains connected to higher education through alumni networks from Ohio Northern University. The history degree, he says, taught him to read closely and to place events in a larger narrative. The law degree taught him to translate that narrative into legal theory and tactical choices.

Clients who work with him can expect counsel grounded in formal legal training and guided by experience across Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia. He maintains active membership in local and state bar groups and uses those forums to stay informed about case law and procedural change. He represents clients in matters arising in Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia.
