John P. Gleason was a founding partner of Gleason Koatz & Qubain, LLP, a prominent law firm based in New York City. His expertise included providing non-consolidation opinion letters, enforceability opinions, and authority to file opinion letters. Notably, he represented The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, advising on loan transactions involving United States parent companies of U.K. subsidiaries. His work in these high-stakes environments showcased his ability to navigate complex legal frameworks effectively. Before co-founding Gleason Koatz & Qubain, LLP, Mr. Gleason managed the New York office of the international law firm Kervorkian & Rawlings. His experience also included serving as an associate in the International Department of the Cabinet Fiscal et Juridique Francis Lefebvre in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
This role allowed him to deepen his understanding of international legal practices and further solidified his expertise in cross-border transactions. Mr. Gleason was an active member of the New York State Bar Association, contributing to the legal community throughout his career. He passed away in 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to the law and his clients.
