About John
John Nguyen earned his Juris Doctor from Lincoln University in 2011. He completed his legal education at a time when many new attorneys were choosing between firm work and starting their own shops. He chose the latter route soon after finishing law school.
In 2012 Nguyen opened the Law Office of John Nguyen. He established his practice in California and has maintained it since. Starting and running a solo firm shaped how he approaches cases. It also required him to handle both the legal work and the business side of practice.
Nguyen is active in the local legal community. He holds professional memberships, including in the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association. That association is a gathering point for trial lawyers across the county, and membership signals regular participation in events and continuing legal education. He has remained a current member while managing his office.
His work over the years has centered on courtroom preparation and trial practice. He developed routines for case investigation, witness preparation, and courtroom presentation. He is known among peers for taking cases through all phases of litigation rather than limiting work to early-stage filings. That approach meant handling discovery, motion practice, and jury work as needed.
Running a small firm has also required attention to client relationships. Nguyen manages client intake, communicates about strategy and process, and coordinates with experts when cases demand outside analysis. Those responsibilities sit alongside the courtroom tasks and are part of the daily demands of a solo practice.
Colleagues describe him as practical about case selection and methodical in preparation. He has focused on building a practice that can take a case from the initial complaint to trial. Over time he has balanced trial calendar management with the administrative duties of running an office.
As of 2026 he continues to practice law in California through the Law Office of John Nguyen. He now focuses his practice on trial litigation in California.
