About John L.

John L. Buckley earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2002, where he studied litigation and sharpened skills used in court. His legal education emphasized the practical side of advocacy. It prepared him for the rhythms of trial work and the demands of managing contested cases.

He has practiced in Colorado for more than two decades. Over that time he has worked on matters that required courtroom appearances, pretrial motion practice and negotiations. He learned early that preparation changes outcomes. That principle has guided how he approaches evidence, witness preparation and hearing strategy.

Colleagues describe him as direct in court and thorough in preparation. He tends to break complex legal problems into concrete tasks: document review, witness preparation, timeline development, and clear motions. He favors practical solutions that resolve disputes without unnecessary delay. When a case must be tried, he focuses on clear presentations and efficient use of court time.

Buckley’s litigation training at Sturm College of Law remains a throughline in his work. He applies trial advocacy techniques learned in law school to modern litigation practice. Those techniques inform how he frames factual narratives, questions witnesses and addresses juries or judges. Over the years he has refined those skills to match changes in evidence rules and courtroom technology.

He is admitted to practice in Colorado and continues to work in the state’s legal community. His current practice centers on litigation matters handled at the trial and pretrial stages in Colorado courts.
